The Exploration Company is building spacecraft for humanity. Join the Future Projects unit to conceptualize and pre-develop new technologies and programs for in-space operations and services.
You will work on a robotic orbital station aiming to support the In-Space Operations and Services ecosystem, enabling satellite resupply, propellant delivery, and complex robotic-assisted in-orbit experiments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system engineering trade-offs and technical investigations at system level
- Define system-level requirements and ensure flow down and consistency to lower-level requirements
- Define the functional breakdown of the system
- Contribute to the development plan
- Coordinate technical tasks across specialist engineers within the project, ensuring schedule alignment
- Lead co-engineering sessions with the engineering team and external partners, including agenda setup, priority coordination, decision-making and action tracking
- Create and maintain technical budgets including mass and power
- Support technical reviews with the customer, including datapack definition, delivery and RID management
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MSc) in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in a launch system program
- Experience in early development phase (Phase 0/A/B) project work and systems engineering
- Good knowledge of programming (Python, Fortran, Matlab)
- Fluent in English; German, French or Italian is an asset
