Vantor is working with the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities.

In this role, you will test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate these systems, and identify areas requiring urgent mitigation to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. Your systems engineering expertise, communication and collaboration skills, and attention to detail will be vital as you contribute to the acquisition and development of space sensing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate space systems and ground systems
  • Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, ground architectures and designs
  • Create integration plans, schedules, and test plans
  • Author requirements and manage testable criteria, system validation and verification
  • Lead teams of at least 5 people
  • Communicate and coordinate between client, your team, related teams, and leadership
  • Perform systems engineering analysis for satellite and ground systems

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10+ years supporting DoD weapon systems acquisitions or systems engineering
  • 5+ years performing systems engineering analysis and developing products for satellite or ground systems for Command and Control and Data Processing
  • 3+ years leading teams of at least 5 people
  • Experience developing technical specifications, interface control documents, ground architectures and designs, integration plans and schedules, and test plans
  • Experience authoring requirements and managing testable criteria, system validation and verification, and analysis
  • Knowledge of network architecture
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in modeling, simulation, or analysis of RF Systems, including Space-to-Ground and Payload Systems
  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems, including SBIRS, Next Generation OPIR, FORGE, STSS, HBTSS, DMSP, WSF-M, and EWS
  • Experience with planning and executing program reviews throughout the system life cycle
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach experience
  • Knowledge of satellite ground system design, cloud architecture, DevOps and DevSecOps, software frameworks, communication and networking, data processing, exploitation, and dissemination, space system operations and tasking, mission planning, space-ground integration, or space system factory support
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay for this position in California: $123,000 - $164,000 - $180,400 annually. Pay will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.

Workplace
