Lead Software Integration Engineer (TS/SCI) Verified today
Vantor is seeking a Lead Software Integration Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force in evaluating software solutions for national defense. You will lead a cross-functional team responsible for evaluating physics-based concepts, designing and testing software, and implementing end-to-end solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineering and science personnel
- Leverage experience with radio frequency (RF) and space weather concepts to translate scientific needs into scalable, mission-driven software solutions
- Read, program, and review code across the full stack
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to technical teams
- Collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders
- Drive alignment between scientific objectives and software development efforts
- Anticipate needs and take initiative to address challenges in a dynamic, mission-focused environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Experience with scientific concepts related to radio frequency (RF), the electromagnetic spectrum, or space weather
- Experience with full-stack development
- Ability to read and program in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++, and in frameworks such as React, Angular, REST, or GraphQL
- Experience leading highly technical teams
- Experience interacting with technical and non-technical audiences at varying levels
- Ability to coordinate and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams (science, software, hardware, systems engineering)
- Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI Eligible required)
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering; Doctorate degree a plus
- Experience with radar systems, radar modeling, or signal processing
- Experience with Kubernetes or software factories
- Experience with requirements analysis
- Ability to run and evaluate complex simulation frameworks
- Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 2 months of hire date
Location: Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. Primarily on-site with limited remote/hybrid options.
Compensation: Base pay for Colorado: $128,000 - $170,000 - $187,000 annually. Geographic cost of labor adjustments apply for other states.
Clearance: Employment is contingent upon verification of Top Secret/SCI clearance status. Applicants without active required clearance are not eligible.
Export Control: This role may be subject to U.S. export control laws (ITAR), requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
