About the Role

Join Vantor to work with the U.S. Space Force on defining and managing an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise. You will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to translate real-world customer needs into technical specifications and solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, including Cameo, to develop and manage system requirements, establish traceability, and link model elements
  • Generate reports and documentation to support program decisions
  • Develop and maintain a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), ensuring alignment with program objectives and long-term support strategies
  • Perform requirements analysis, synthesis, and traceability for shall statements and supplemental fields evaluation, including test methods and success criteria
  • Contribute to knowledge management practices by organizing and maintaining technical documentation within Confluence and Git-based repositories
  • Architect, engineer, integrate, test and deploy systems while identifying areas requiring urgent mitigation
  • Research new requirements, technologies, and threats using innovative engineering methodologies

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in MBSE
  • Experience applying MBSE principles to support complex system sustainment, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with requirements analysis, synthesis, and traceability for shall statements and supplemental fields evaluation
  • Experience with knowledge management, configuration management, and LCSP creation, including for IT programs
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Project Management
  • Ability to use MBSE tools such as Cameo to interpret and update system models and SysML diagrams
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences at varying levels
  • Ability to work onsite at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite, including Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with Cloud services and Cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Experience working with or architecting solutions in AWS
  • Experience as a software or systems engineering and integration lead, cradle to grave
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
  • Strong communication skills

Clearance and Eligibility

This position requires an active U.S. Government Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants without the required clearance will not be considered. Employment for cleared roles is contingent upon verification of clearance status. This role may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Work Location

Colorado Springs, Peterson Space Force Base. Primarily on-site with limited remote/hybrid options.

Compensation

Base pay for this position in Colorado: $102,000 to $149,600 annually. Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Pay for other locations will vary based on geographic cost of labor.
