The Role
You will coordinate and monitor tube hardware and fittings through bending, welding, proof testing, NDE, and quality operations to maintain schedules and build priorities for Haven-1 manufacturing. You will report to the Supervisor, Tube Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate material delivery and monitor hardware flow through tube shop operations to ensure schedules are maintained
- Work with manufacturing technicians, engineers, and supply chain teams to stage materials, components, and tooling for upcoming builds
- Track work order status and hardware readiness including materials, fittings, and tubes required for assembly
- Identify and escalate production blockers such as material shortages, tooling availability, quality holds, or documentation gaps
- Maintain accurate build and assembly status in internal tracking tools and work order systems
- Ensure proper handling, packaging, and documentation of completed avionics hardware for downstream handoffs
- Support coordination between production operations and downstream activities
- Generate and maintain reports on build status, upcoming activities, and schedule risks
- Collaborate with the Master Scheduler, engineers, and manufacturing leadership to align priorities
- Facilitate communication between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues
- Assist with material staging, hardware kitting, and documentation for tube shop assembly
Employment Details
- Full-time, non-exempt position
- Location: Long Beach, California
- Shift: Second shift, 2pm to 10:30pm
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- 2+ years of Smartsheet
- Highly detail-oriented and self-starter
- Forklift experience
Compensation
Base salary: $18-$30 USD per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated capability.
