Role

Voyager Lunar Systems is seeking a Mechanical Integration and Test Engineer to support planning, execution, and documentation of integration and validation testing of mechanical components and systems for spacecraft, rovers, and lunar infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Support design review and approval from a Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Test (DFT) perspective.
  • Support Test Plan development with Systems and Design Engineers.
  • Draft, maintain, and execute detailed Integration Procedures and Test Procedures.
  • Ensure readiness of supporting items such as assembly parts, fasteners, consumables, supplies, tooling, and tool calibration verification for integration and test operations.
  • Support design of ground support equipment, fixtures, assembly aids, and tooling for integration and test operations.
  • Prepare supporting material and participate in Integration Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Operate test equipment such as Shaker Tables and Thermal Vacuum Chambers following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Support off-site operations at third party testing facilities.
  • Collect, process, and organize test data; contribute to Test Reports and data reviews.
  • Work in an integrated team with daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and leadership across propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structural teams.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience with integration, assembly, or testing of electro-mechanical and/or fluid systems.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, including test procedures, work instructions, and reports.
  • Familiarity with CAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements.

Desired Qualifications

  • M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience with instrumentation, control, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with environmental testing such as Shock, Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, Acoustic, and fluid system testing.
  • Interest in or exposure to aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, or other complex hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with Safety, Quality, ESD, FOD, and cleanroom practices and standards.
  • Experience with basic shop tools, 3D printing, or machining equipment such as mills and lathes.
  • Familiarity with one or more: SolidWorks, VBA, Python, Arduino, Linux, LabView, Siemens TestLab, LabJack.
