About the Role
Xona is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to join the engineering team supporting Pulsar, the advanced PNT satellite infrastructure in Low Earth Orbit. You will design PCB layouts, maintain PCB libraries, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver efficient, complete solutions for satellite systems.
What You'll Do
- Design PCB layouts with direction from electrical design engineers
- Collaborate with structural, thermal, GNC, and software engineers on PCB design tradeoffs and constraints
- Maintain and develop PCB libraries, creating standards for symbols and footprints
- Develop standardized fabrication and assembly note templates
- Support PCB designs through fabrication and production
- Support design updates for production and manufacturing
- Source electrical components and verify they meet standards
What You Bring
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years experience taking designs from schematics to manufacturing
- Familiarity with electrical design and simulation tools such as Altium, Allegro, or PADS
- Fundamental understanding of electronics, power systems, and signal integrity
- Experience with embedded systems and peripheral interfaces including I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Passion for learning and growing in the aerospace industry
Eligibility
For U.S. roles: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
For U.K. roles: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks required; successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
For Canada roles: Candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at reliability status level and pass security assessment for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
